Greetings,

Put on a set of Buell footpegs for my SV1KS a couple of weeks ago.  Who would ever think that roughly 1" down and back would make much of a difference, but.................. I am sold!!!!  I was literally set to sell my bike this spring if this mod didn't work.  Although, I have a major Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport itch going, I have to say, this mod (in addition to a Sargeant seat and Convertibars) really made a difference to the point where I can now enjoy my bike.  I'd like a little more leg room, but at least now, it's liveable.

I bought them at my local HD shop that formerly sold Buell and they were $28.  I wish all mods were so cheap and effective.  It wasn't a perfect fit, but with a round and flat file I was able to fit them to the bike in an hour or so.  Although, I have dragged my toe in a corner or 2 since adding the pegs, the comfort gained vasly outweighs any cornering deficiencies..... and really, I can still get the bike down pretty low in a corner.

I'll be doing a 5 day tour the end of this month out to PA, OH, WVA, VA from NJ.  If it works, I'm keeping the bike, otherwise...... well, there may be a MG 1200 Sport w/ my name on it.

+1 on the Buell Pegs. I have them on my TL1000S, and can go an extra 100-200 or so with more comfort.
Found these http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/4703/107/
and they look and feel MUCH nicer that the Buells, and they are adj 360 degrees.  granted they are not $28 ,
but the Busa deserves it!  Lol

I'm out on OH, WVA and PA every weekend , PM me and i'll give you a couple MUST roads to ride....( that if you want.)

Wow, those are freakin' pimp. Drool

I have the Buell pegs on my ZX, and love them, but I might have to spring for a set of those. Bigok

I put the Buell pegs on a buddies SV1k as well. It basically made the bike rideable for him. Great cheap mod!

So how does one put Buell pegs on all these different bikes?  Is it a drop-in replacement, so to speak?

On my Busa it was easy, Just ground them down a little so they would fit in between the mounting points and then enlarged the holes so the pins would fit in.. Basic shop skills required is all..   Bigok

Other bikes no clue..  Headscratch

Same. File/grind the mounting point a little thinner, and drill the hole out a little bigger. Done.

I put a set of Buell pegs on my Honda Blackbird and really enjoy the extra legroom.
I also shortened up the feelers so the cornering clearance is relatively unaffected as long as you remember to move your foot a bit.

peg

Nice....  I was looking at those as well, but considerably more $ than the Buell pegs.  Which length did you get on yours?  ....30mm, 25mm, .... I also saw they have a 50mm but didn't recommend it with the SV.

30mm, i thought the 50mm would be to far from stifter and brake.

I had these on my Ninja 650r:

Bought them for $40 from HD and now they're just sitting around in the garage. Guess I should get around to putting them up for sale. They should work on most Jap bikes as the footpeg configuration is the same. Had them on a Strom as well.

I was too lazy to grind. Just used an appropriately sized bolt, dropped right through the hole. Pretty much a direct fit. Add a nut locktited on the other end.

This might be an old part number, but hopefully will work...
