It is not enough to say yes...if you vote yes you must post a description of the location on your bike or your vote will not be counted.

Options 2-5 require no explanation.

So you're going to re-program the forum vote code?  Could you fix the link embedding while you're at it?

I know where mine are on all the ABS bikes I've owned.  But I didn't know before I bought them, which is where I suspect you're going with this.  They have to be accounted for when doing wheel removals.

What a silly question.  Of course I know.  It's obvious.  It's that thing at the top of the connection between the seat and the brake lever.

It is at the dealership, on the front wheel, inside of the brake disk on the bike that I'd like to buy if I could afford it.

I was actually asking that to give H-D props.  They carefully designed their sensor system to be as unobtrusive as possible.

There's a sensor on my bike for my abs? Mine must not be working because I haven't been able to do any ab work (crunches, planks, etc...) and my I haven't noticed any lights or buzzers going off. It's true  Shrug

On my current rides it's an overly complex system of inputs that include both sound and feel. It's also subject to failure from time to time depending on how taxed the CPU is at the moment.

OK.  Sad

Wanna have a quiz on ABS function? Look at the bikes in my profile and maybe it will make more sense?

FWIW,  I'm a proponent of well sorted ABS systems on motorcycles and I've owned two motorcycles equipped with ABS (FJR1300 & Sprint ST). I don't happen to own an ABS equipped bike at the moment, hence my having to rely on my brain (the CPU) to interpret the signals coming into it.

Ok, again. I currently have no ABS bikes.  Hence my "ABS" sensors are human (sound and feel) and CPU is my brain.  I really didn't mean to make it confusing. I thought it would be easy to see in my first post that I was speaking of the human nervous system and human senses. I listed sound and feel cause unless you can watch your front and rear tire while riding, or smell the rubber starting to slip then those are the two senses you have to depend on.

Your CPU is failing to process inputs correctly Smile

Ah.  I thought you were referring to the feedback in the ABS system as a whole, not the sensors, which are monitoring all the time pretty much silently.  Sorry.

Of course!  Its the rear wheel!  When it starts to squirm under heavy braking and then lifts off the ground I know that I am at maximum brake force and any more will result in a crash.

Years of riding dirtbikes have given me cat like reflexes that manipulate the front brake lever at the slightest inclination of slip.

Outside the pulsar ring, or reluctor ring, the slotted ring on each wheel with a small sensor about 1 mm away from it.   Duh!
