98 ZX-6 Fork Oil

I just bought a 5k mile ZX-6 E that's been sitting in a garage for years. I bought a pair of fork seals for the thing (one leaking) but, I don't have a shop manual for this bike and my prefered local shop does not either.
 
Can anyone tell me the quantity, or level to refill the forks?

...but if I was gonna do this "on the cheap" I'd just measure the amount that comes out of the fork-leg that's not leaking, and replace with the same amount of 10W oil.  When it's done, if the ride-quality is not acceptable, then you just raise the fluid-level to increase compression-damping (lower it to decrease) and you use heavier weight oil to increase rebound-damping (lighter oil will decrease rebound-damping).
 
I wish I could be more helpful - but I let the manual go with the bike when I sold the ZX6E we used to own... and my memory simply is not THAT good.

Enjoy your new bike. I put 63,000 kms on my 95 before selling it to my brother-in-law. It's still doing daily duty in the summer and has over 100,000 kms on it now althought the odometer crapped out last year. The engine is bulletproof.

I ended up using the drain and measure method.
 
Thanks for the help. One more little task completed... Now when the soft parts for the carbs get here I can actually ride the thing. Then I have to decide if I am going to keep this one, or turn it.
