My new to me 2007 Super Duke has recently started making a groaning sound (lacking a better description) from the clutch on the first engagement of the day.  Feels like it almost reverbs through the frame too.

I warm the bike up as usual and take off only to hear a disturbing groan from what I perceive to be the clutch. It only happens on the first two or three takeoffs from a dead stop, after that it's all good.

Any ideas?

It's "groaning" 'cause you aren't dumping it hard enough.
Those SDs are racin' bikes y'know...

It just went away on its own.

Thank goodness for the endless technical advice and support one can attain on this site or I would be in big trouble.  Rolleyes

maybe I should start a harley bashing thread and see how many replies I get.  Lol
