Who would be interested.

Ok folks, some of you have shown interest in the Wild Card phototag game here in general and teh Delaware specific game in region 6.  That got me to wondering if any of you would be interested in a USA/Canada only phototag such as this - http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=429115&page=74 - complete with a mascot that is required to claim the tag?  If enough folks show interest (or even if they don't), I'll kick it off later this week.

What say you?

Yes, given the large area of game play a mascot is used to eliminate arguements about who has the tag.  As you can see on the link to the other game, documenting the mascots journey actually becomes a game within the game.  The mascot for the game I linked to (Mr. Egg) has been to the following in the past 8-9 months; VA, DE, NY, PA, The top of Mt Washington, Qubec City, Toronto, NY, VA, FL, TX, CA, OH, NY, and get this - Belize!  Mr. Egg is currently (so they tell us) on his way back from Belize.  

I plan to launch the game later this week.

It does happen once in a while, but for the most part you hide the mascot and detail where it is hidden so other players can find it without joe cager just happening across it.  Look through tghe shots in the game I linked and you will see what I mean.

The same mascot idea has been going on in Region 4 in the IL/WI phototag.

Glad to hear it.

I have to admit that when I read the initial proposal, I envisioned a 'chili' or something... after reading the ADV link, I see that hiding a (ceramic? stone? Plastic?) egg lowers the theftability quotient a good bit.  

Sadly I have little faith in humanity and could easily envision some douchebag finding the egg with a bunch of names scratched into it and taking it home as a souvenir even though it's purpose is unknown and value is nil.

it's a cool idea, if it makes it to eastern CO, I'll play.
