A great start for our new team.

We took our new bike (that we've only had now for two weeks) to the races this last sunday.
The bike's first flying race lap ever, it set the new track record at
Buttonwillow Raceway
, which is a great start.
Later in the day, the first of the three race
California Championship Series
, our new BMW S1000RR took home the honors, beating the previous lap record on a number of laps in the process (even though we got the fork setting a bit wrong).
Here's a great shot of Jeremy Toye on the

Very exciting Miles. Looks like the crest of the Lost Hills section though my memories of BW may be inaccurate after ten years. I hope to attend the CSC round at Infineon. Same weekend as the Calistoga 1/2 mile National Flat Track race and just a few miles away.
I think some quote marks are disrupting your links.

Nailed it- that is Lost Hill. I'm not sure I'll be able to attend Infineon, but I hope I can.

No, one of the team owners. I'll be doing some testing riding, but no racing.

Getting him on board was a key element in this whole thing working out. You know, until a track day two weeks earlier, he'd never ridden at Buttonwillow? He's a real talent, and the expectation is that if we can get the bike up to snuff he should be able to go toe to toe with the factory guys.

I think he's probably ridden buttonwillow but never raced it before. He's probably old enough to have raced Ontario at some point!
okay, just kidding.
Can't believe we picked up the bikes just two weeks ago, we should start a thread on the whole thing and document the buy, the build and race.
Next up is 4 days of testing at miller and 2 days of racing....

The bike needs an STN sticker for that extra little bit of
go
necessary to hang with the big boys.

We're in discussion with UFO... but at this point he's asking for a bit too much money.
