Traded my 04 Multi on a new 1200 S Touring in
RED
today.
Left the bike and signed all the papers only. Hopefully my new ride will be here in a couple of weeks.

Congratulations! The old MTS was pretty good, but methinks you'll like the new one lots more.

Would you be willing and able to relate details of the deal, either here or in a PM? I'm in a position where I would have to, and want to, trade my bike, and I'm interested to learn what the dealers are willing to do.

Well here we are at July 08, 2010 and my original post was May 29th, and still no bike.
I've been promised a couple of weeks, a couple of days, it's in transport, it's in customs, the truth is my dealer has no idea when it will arrive. My dealer is just going by what his Ducati rep is telling him, and I"m convinced the rep has no idea when it will arrive.
I wrote to Ducati Customer Service and they stated they have no idea when it will arrive but to keep checking with my dealer as they will receive notice when the bike clears customs and is in route.

A container with MTS has arrived in port and they are being off loaded this week, the heat in NJ has been bad and the union workers at the docks are moving slow! I anticipate seeing one or maybe 2 reds out of this batch.. So in my best foggy crystal ball I would have to say the dealers should get a shipping notice by early next week and then 5-10 days for bikes to arrive. Give Jason at Myers a call and I bet his rep should have some solid info at the start of the week!! fingers crossed for you!

Dave,
Thanks for giving me some hope.
Just curious, how many bikes fit in a container?

I just heard from my dealer. He said now that my bike should be here by the end of the month.
He was told by Ducati that demand has been overwhelming and exceeded their estimates for demand.
He stated people who ordered in November are just taking delivery now.
He also said this is the lastest information and since the information is from Ducati, it could change and my bike could be here any day.
Every week a different story.

Yes, I do have the Superduke to ride, and ride we did today. Did an extreme twisty route down through Hotsprings, then over on 67 to Asheville, down to Bat Cave then north to Marion where I picked up 80 and back home via NC 197.

Yes, I know Rick. He worked on the forks and shock on my old Multistrada. I have also attended some Club Desmo and MSTA rallies with him. I have never riden with him though.
