I'm looking for a naked v-twin and to be honest, I never really considered Aprilia because I'm not too familiar with it. However, I recently took a look at the Shiver and really like the look, and the specs are in line with what I am looking for. There is a dealer about an hour from my home, and I'll be going up to take a look soon. Just wondering if there are any quirks, build issues, etc with these bikes. I've always had Japanese bikes, and never had any issues. I'm also looking at the Monster 796.

BIKE magazine called the Aprilia Mille,"The best Japanese bike built in Italy".  Bigsmile

At least for the Mille/Tuono variants, they've been fairly bulletproof as far as engine reliability and build quality goes.

I dunno if that extends to the newer variants like the Shiver.

I would definately check the AF1 message boards on the Shiver, when it first came out there was some problems as expected with any new model but I would check to make sure these problems have been weeded out. Or at least a fix that is not too extensive.
