Instead of buying a new bike this year I decided to put some $$ into the one I had.

I went with Dodge Viper GTS Blue and I'm still waiting on the new all white decals to arrive. They sold me the wrong mount for the GIVI V46 so as soon as I get that I'll be ready for a few more seasons.

A friend of mine works at a body shop, I did all the hard work and he sprayed it. Primer/paint/clear is 'effin expensive, I have over $700 in materials, labor was free.

yeah, white decals are one the way. I added a relay for the heated grips while it was all apart so I'd stop killing my battery.

Nice  Thumbsup
As a previous owner of an FJ1100 (many moons ago) I can say that I always wanted a 1200 and almost pulled the trigger on a leftover model years ago but the sales guys at the dealership were douchebags. Anyhoo, it's nice to see you kept the feejer  Thumbsup

So you'll fix and flip it....with a delayed flip.  You know it, I know it....you'll likely sell the Guzzi, get a new bike for two-up, and once settled, sell the FJ and buy another standard.  That's my prediction (sure to go wrong).

Predicting that Chris will sell/buy a bike is like shooting a shotgun at cylinder inside a barn and predicting they will hit said barn.

So?  Headscratch

I've made it pretty well known that 1) I'm a bike whore and 2) I have a small part-out/flip-n-fix business in my garage.

You're pointing at water and saying it's wet.

You might stop scratching your head long enough to notice I was talking about you and not to you.  I thought it was funny that  that he said probably in relation to YOU selling a bike - because 1. You're a bike whore (and not just any bike whore but one of the biggest bike whores).

If it's that difficult for you to understand I might could draw you a picture.

Yeah... But the point I was making is that you're stating the painfully obvious as though you were somehow all witty and observant. You're not. It's as simple as saying "the sky is blue". Like, wow man, you figure that out all by yourself?  Rolleyes

Nice work on the FJ.  I think it makes sense my next el cheapo bike would be a(nother) C10...cheap, lots of good ones around, aftermarket/parts, etc.  But the FJ1200 is helluvalot more appealing to me....  Thumbsup

Agree, that is really the only older bike that I would buy. They were good then and still are.
