I've got a 2000 Busa. Bike has been super reliable until last Saturday when it wouldn't start and the "FI" (Fuel Injection) warning light started flashing. Read the ECU trouble code and it came up C-41, which is the fuel pump relay code. Apparently the ECU will trip C-41 if it can't see voltage to the fuel pump & injectors.
Long story short ... it ended up being the 10A "Fuel" fuse, which is located in the mini fuse box under the LH dash panel. Put in a new fuse and all was back to normal, and it didn't blow the fuse again - so whatever caused the fuse to blow was not a "hard failure".
So ... was wondering if anyone else with a first Gen Busa has ever had the "Fuel" fuse blow. I'm wondering if something caused the fuel pump to have an intermittent high current draw for some reason. Maybe it was just a weak fuse from age and vibration over the years that finally gave out.
