Oh, sure. Horex makes 'em for the wealthy collector crowd. We'll never see one on the road outside of a Concours d'Elegance somewhere. Still cool, though. And it appeals to me in a way that a $45k chopper never will.

Have you seen a lot of V6 bike before?  For that reason alone I find it pretty interesting.  Plus the 200hp figure.  Stylistically it is not very exciting, but that is the wolf in sheep's clothing thing.

Oh, come on.  it costs far, far more to tool up a factory full of high-speed production equipment, so you can churn out CBRs by the thousands, than it does to set up a little one-off shop dependent on expensive hand labour...believe me, most "boutique" builders would love to produce "affordable stuff" in quantity, but they can't afford to.  A good case in point: sure, Harley shut down Buell, but keep in mind that Buell actively seeked the original merger with H-D; it was H-D's money that allowed Buell to move out of a converted barn and into a proper production facility, and that allowed Buell to bring prices into line and become competetive in the market.  If Buell hadn't sold out to H-D, the company probably wouldn't have survived the 25 years it did (and it would be doing even better now, if not for a certain short-sighted, hard-nosed CEO...).
