Voted Buell.  Not as fast, but who needs the performance of the Busa?  When can you really use it?  I've never ridden either, but would like to ride a Buell soon.  I think that the Buell would do at least as well in the corners, probably better in the tight stuff.  Plus twins rule!  Two cylinder motorcycles are pretty neat too.  Rolleyes

Never really been able to get with the looks of the Buells.  Different is nice, but you still want some mass appeal.  I've always loved the Hyper Bus, especially in the Orange Anniversary livery.  Mmm.  Hyper Bus it is.

Anniversary Grey Hayabusa... is one of my favorite bikes to look at.  I think it's lovely.

But I'd have more fun on the Buell I think, so that gets my vote.

Having ridden both, and owning a Busa, I must say the Busa wins hands down.

The Buell isn't a bad bike.  The brakes are nice.  It handles well.  That motor though.   Thumbsdown  It's a Harley engine that is tuned to rev to 5k instead of 4k.   Lol  When I rode it, I had been riding my TLR all day, and I banged the rev limiter on the Buell so fast it made my head spin.  I don't even shift the TLR until well after the redline of the Buell.

Now, if they gave the Buell a proper, performance oriented v-twin, I'd be all over that package.  As it sits, no.

And what's wrong with hard bags on a Busa?!  I've got them on mine and love them!   Bigsmile

Ok, whoever decided to put these two particular bikes together needs to back slowly away from the crack pipe before its too late!   Lol

Seriously, the Busa is virtually speed incarnate while the Lightning takes comfort in railing tight corners at radical lean angles.  Two totally divergent machines with equally divergent purposes.

Actually, if I had BOTH in my garage, then Life would truly be good.

Yeah, that would make a great stable.  Nimble town bike and a long-range missile.  Rasty twin and smooth four.  Upright riding position and sporty riding position.  Fun, fun, fun.   Thumbsup Thumbsup
