This is an interesting touring comparison and it sums up my thoughts perfectly.

Nice review, fair and succinct. I get the same type of pro/con with the Stelvio when I compare her to other bikes, but never tried the KateyM as she appeared to be too long a stretch for my stump legs  Lol.

What's the appx minimum inseam fit for a Katey rider?

Cheers

Actually, substitute the KTM for any other "adventure" bike and that's the point I'm tying to make.  There's been some discuss as to whether or not adventure touring bikes are comfortable.  For me, it's the most comfortable bike I've been on outside a full on relaxed touring bike.

After closing that last post, I thought about it for a second. I can think of a LOT of reasons why I like Canadians. What great neighbors we have. Thanks Canada, just for being there. Oh, and did I mention how much I like Canadian booze?

This may be an indication that I am in need of further cultural enlightenment.

Any of the more Western STN meets will usually be attended by a Canadian bringing good Rye for the whiskey sampling....  look for the happy crowd.

Evidently there are no young Canadian riders.   Lol

Hey, I can say that as at 51 those guys are my peers, eh?  And I agree about the KTM being the winnah.

Sadly the closest KTM dealer no longer handles any on the road KTMs. I find KTMs distribution plan to be silly. I'd love an opportunity to check out an SMT if there was a dealer I could get to without having to camp out or get hotel reservations. Maybe I need to toughen up a bit.
