Not enough here for a ride report, but still thought this was funny enough to share.

So on a weekend where I got props for skipping the SoCal open ride, I also got props for fetching a forgotten bag.  All while getting in 200 miles of dual sport riding, 200 miles of twisties, and avoiding a pirate invasion over the anniversary weekend.

The plan was for me to ride up to Big Bear Friday afternoon on the DR through the dirt from Pioneer Town to the lake, and meet my wife at her parents' place on Snow Summit for the weekend.

It was a great ride up on Burns Canyon Rd and I had a blast. I even encountered my first water crossing.  No pics of the ride up, I was running a little late.

Now for the funny part.  I arrive and learn that the Big Bear Choppers Rally is being held the next day in our parking lot Rolleyes.  Then, she tells me that she forgot a bag at home (Palm Springs area) and she needed some of those items for the weekend.

Being the good husband I am, and given the situation, I say "don't worry honey, IF I HAVE TO, I'll ride back down the mountain in the morning and get the bag you forgot"  Wink ...

Here is a cell pic of our parking lot she sent me while I was away.

I took a slightly different ride back on Smarts Ranch Rd

To Burns Canyon Rd.

Enjoyed another great day on the mountain and got to the house to cool off. I grabbed the bag and switched over to the Tiger for a rip up Hwy 38.  It was late enough that the chopper crowd were headed down and traffic was light and easily managed. No pics again, I had to be back for dinner.

Here are some shots from Hwy 38 today on the ride home.
