Hell, I'd be happy with the twin coming back.     Not that I've ever ridden one, but they are legendary.

There was a rumor a year or two back that Apilia was working on a 1200cc twin as the basis for a new sport-touring bike and other street models. Haven't read anything to support that since then. That wouldn't exactly suck either.

Yeah, and I also saw the 180 hp.  However, no magazine I've seen has dynoed a RSV4 at much more than 150hp, so I'm skeptical.

I like the idea of a V-4 Tuono, though.  I just wish they'd gotten a better looking fairing for it!

   From the front, it looks like they styled the fairing after some cartoon monster. People complained about the 'eyes' on the Triumph 675 - for me this is worse.

I am not sure about owning a first year product - it seems like there are a lot of little issues to be worked out and the second year might be a better model to own.

Price?  With the weak US$ I guessing $15K plus.

I do plan to add a nekid hooli next spring - not sure which one through.  I bet it will cost less than1/2 for a very lightly used and well farkled S3.  

But I crave Italian.

Don't get me wrong the Aprilia is a beautiful bike but there appears to have been zero origination with with the design of the new one.

Yeah, the weird gold frame on the previous Tuono Factory never did it for me.  The new Tuono in black is just  

I rode my '07 yesterday and it is a righteous bike.    But I'm jonesin' for the new V4 Tuono...maybe with an Akropovic pipe...and a carbon nose fairing...and plenty of frame and fork sliders for the day I drop it in the driveway whilst wiping it down with Lemon Pledge...

Do my posts look like Larry's when I use all those periods?

Well, Aprilias and Moto Guzzis are not Ducatis.    I read varying reports about valve adjusts on the Ducatis.


I agree that the new Tuono looks good from the side - it's the front of the fairing that's a turnoff for me.

It did go to a happy buyer who loves the bike and is riding the crap out of it (MSF instructor who tours on it!).  Would have been glad to sell to you - but they are out there.  Do the jaxed.com search.  One of my moto rags identified it as a great used buy a couple months ago, so people may be asking a bit much right now, but they're out there.

What was the disney movie with the robot that came alive - number 5 is alive - it had tractor treads for wheels?  That fairing looks just like that robot.
