Prubert almost hasmade he call for a coffee meet up north....

I am up for it... it is a 3 hour or so ride if you head straight there from my house.

10:00 am meet time

Means 7 am start but a 6 am start would allow an interesting ride up.

Now all that is needed...

is a date
a route maker / leader
and some followers....

I did the posting, and I volunteer to be a follower, who's next?

Given my propensity for waking up in the morning...

I'm up for it, but we all know better.

I might be able to make it, depending on weather, if I can get up that early on a Sunday (night shift will do that to you), and how much work I can get done Friday and Saturday on that pesky bathroom remodeling project.

I'm glad somebody straightened out the location-- Lol-- I've been at Mud Creek Coffee with Prubert and I definitely wasn't in Shiocton.

As to the ride Sunday, I'm up for it if the weather co-operates. From this far out, Saturday looks like the better day.

My bad...

You know where it is...now!!  I can stand on the sidewalk and flag ya down if you would like.  Smile

Forcast is for partly cloudy and 40.  Not terribly bad, it was cooler than that the first time we went to Mud Creek!

For those that have never been to Mud Creek Coffee:

Take Hwy55 into STOCKBRIDGE (EASTERN shore of Lake Winnebago) and look for the one and only bank clock/temperature,  Mud Creek Coffee is right across the street in a little strip mall.

Are you really trying to confuse us? Stockbridge is east of Lake Winnebago isn't it? Is this town, which is East of Lake Winnebago, on the Western shore of the lake like you say? I'm confused.  Headscratch

Just out of curiosity, and being new to the group, what is the cut off limit with the coldness?  I know it was my fault for not dressing better for Stir Crazy but what do you expect from a noob?  In Chicago, Sunday, it looks like a repeat of last Sunday. (44 / sunny)

PS
I can't make this Sunday but looking forward to future meet ups.

I just got done checking my schedule for SAT, to make my first meet, but saw this.
So I have to ask, is there a single meet place prior to Mud Creek, or a Northern Meet point ( WI ) and a southern meet point ( IL ) ?
Thought that DavidLSI offered to use his house as a start point for the IL section ( start of thread ) ?

I'm still up for a 07:00 meet somewhere in Northern IL for an 11:00 meet as Mud Creek.
SAT at 06:00 is scheduled to be 25* at 06:00, need to think that one ( only to make 34* by noon ) for 3 hours.

Other thing, did the start and end change ( don't know if this is Saukville to Mud Creek ) ?

Frzy's post is for a meet to eat then ride to coffee Bigsmile
Saukville isn't quite in the Green Bay area.  Actually more like 28 miles North of Milwaukee.  So if you're in the area and would like to meet up for breakfast... be at Bublitz's at 7:00AM.  If you don't want breakfast but want company up to coffee...be at Bublitz's absolutely no later than 8:30AM 'cause that's when we'll be headed out of the parking lot.
Cheers.

Mark - So far as i can tell the day is Sunday, 11 am at Mud Creek.   I'm getting a car in Muskego in the next month... you wouldn't happen to have a car trailer, would you ?

Gavin

Sorry stromgal mentioned the weather co-operating a bit better on SAT, thought that was changed.

If it is Sunday still, I'm out :
Sunday's forecast is scheduled to be a high of 37* and Rain / Snow mix.
[EDIT:] In the Chicago metro area this is.. MKE is showing 36* and snow on SUN

Call me a sissy.  Cold I can deal with, wet I can deal with, cold and wet.... not my thing.

Sorry about the confusion I caused with the day.

I plan on being at Bublitz by 7:00 for breakfast,  78 mile 1hour 28 minutes as quoted by google maps, from my house.  So, that means anyone who wants to leave with me will need to be in Gurnee by 5:30 am.

If some wants to meet and ride to Bublitz together PM me with your desire to do so and I will pick a good meet up spot, that will not require actually leaving the main roads and trying to find yourway into my subdivision....

SeeYa

I wouldn't be able to make it Saturday - I may have read the wrong post.   Is there an official organizer that can make up our minds ?

Us heathens prefer to avoid church like the plague.  I work Saturdays (every friggin one!) so that's my reason.  I'll keep checking this thread for a consensus.   I'm in if it's Sunday !

I would consider going on Sunday. No way on Saturday. I not not really committing to Sunday either. Normally I wait until the last minute anyway, but I know I will not want to ride anywhere Saturday morning.

NOAA says there is only a 35% chance of rain during the day on Sunday, with a temp in the upper 30s.

What, and give up my ritual St. Paddy's day drinking?  Inlove

Like I posted earlier, Sunday looks a bit sketchy. Are Prubert or any other NEasterners going to meet us if it's Saturday?  I guess I could drink later..... actually, I dislike it when St. Patrick's falls on the weekend, anyway.

7 AM thats early  Sleepy  but ok.

I just saw the weather for Sunday and they took the rain and the snow out of the forcast of course that could change, this is WI. They even said 43 deg for the high so coming back thru the kettle will be fun.

(I was watching Fox 6 and Vince said so, so there. He has a couple of Harleys so he knows what he is talking about.)

That's what I was thinking - but having parused that area fairly thoroughly as a younger man, I never did hear of a mud creek around there.  Bigsmile  Nonetheless, someone should consider changing the headline to whatever state (WI? IL?) this particular Stockbridge may be in - in case some other riders may want to meet up..out of courtesy if nothing else.

It wasn't the cold stopped me, I had the heated gear all laid out. I went to bed at midnight, set the alarm for 5:30.  Unfortunately I've been having trouble sleeping since my mom died, and this happened to be 'one of those' nights, where I couldn't fall asleep 'til nearly 4. When the alarm went off I was in no condition to arise.  So I went to church later, then played pool at Romine's until/during the Badger game.

I knew you'd all be having a great ride.  Bash

I have one hour of video I thought the camera shut itself of after 10 minutes.   The first clip went 50 minutes and then turned off, and the second went ten and then the memory card was filled.

Do not know what will become of it, but Mxvet57 and Lurker you are the stars of the the long one and there are many good parts.  If you send me your e-mail I will forward the movie file to you.

Sure we've all thought of doing something like this (or not) but only DavidLSI is the only one to actually put his idea into action. Prepare to be amazed (or dumbfounded):

Power Converter:

Heating Pad from Wallgreens:

Plug heating pad into power converter:

Apply Wallgreens heating pad directly to your gut to combat gut coldness while riding:

 Lol

Great job David!

This working late into the night shit is seriously starting to get on my nerves!  I was all set to go to this coffee meet but having forgotten to set the alarm I didn't wake up until about 9:30 am.  Bash

Oh well, there will be more coffee meets and chances to get lost.  Bigsmile

Looks like it was a great ride!  Wish I could have made it.

I can't wake up before 10 most days, and I was hungover anyway.

 Lol Lol Lol Thanks...

See a need meet the need.  I must report that it worked great, I left thehouse at 5:30 am and 26 degrees.  I took the highway up the whole way and was amazed at how well it worked.

Real electric gear is on my wish list but, I can't let the lack of this stop the riding....
