It has to be ridden, not pushed, off road before it can be an adventure tourer.   Razz

He is riding it.  I just thought it was funny to see an FZ1 in the weeds like that.

Redfox and I found some nice PA logging roads on our Fizzys last weekend - thanks to Garmin's insistence that dotted lines should appear solid.

Going by the picture posted, our definitions of riding differ    Lol

Besides, I'm only kidding around w/ you.  It's a funny picture.

You should make sure that image is posted on the FZ1 website.

R Doug, are you questioning my offroad ability's? Headscratch You might be right, it's been years since I sold my RM250, and I'm a tad more cautious on the Fizzer. Hazra went through first and I told him to watch the heavy metal cable that ran from the gaurd rail to the ground, then when I rode through I ended up sticking my foot rite in it EEK!. Oh well it was fun Inlove

Coming from someone on a KTM Adventure... yeah, I can see that   Bigok  Unfortunately, I don't have the inseam for a bike like that!  (I say that of course to divert your attention from my pathetic off road abilities).  I figured the FZ would do in a pinch on a dirt road, but it still looks funny in the woods.

Unfortunately the video of that event is too blurry to bother posting...

 Lol  Bigok

The Fox Racing shirt does add credibility.  But, I want to see you riding the bike, not pushing it.

I'd need to doublecheck my Garmin to give you exacts - IIRC we were a couple miles west of Artemas when we veered off semi-paved onto dirt and things got really hilly.

Embarassment  My bad, I was coming from the angle ZZR12 was pushing the bike.

Now you must tell how you got off on the path less traveled.   Lol

Headscratch Well, It was a day much like this one. We were Going down Route 30 in Adirondack state park, I saw a sign that read "BRIDGE CLOSED". After convincing Hazra that it was a good idea to see were this untraveled deserted road went, we by passed the barricade, and went on a cool adventure. I will list below the reasons Hazra had for not doing it. rofl

1. We might get in trouble  Twofinger
2. He didn't know were the road went and he was scared  Lol
3. He had his period  Shrug
4. His legs are to short to touch the ground, and that's bad for off roading  rofl
5. We had to many miles to do that day  Crazy
6. His mommy said no  Bigsmile

That's one of my weaknesses too - does the sign mean CLOSED closed, or just kinda closed?  Let's find out!!

I've occasionally found bridges in a sufficient state of repair (or disrepair) for a motorcycle to make it across.

Just ignore the creaking noises and any shouting behind you.  Lol

It was pretty closed...

But it did have a pretty well used path around the guard rails.  The cables at the far end made it interesting getting off the bridge, but it was in good condition.
