Good point on not having two bikes with the same engine. I am very curious how similar the two bike will actually be?

I am really thinking of the offroad version and keeping the Sprint for travel. Although I would like something in the 800cc range for commuting. Not sure how well the offroad version would work?

Oh the wait......

I miss not having a Triumpet in the stable.

Me too. This new Tiger could be a winner as an eventual replacement for the KTM in 2012. I'll be keeping an eye on it, especially the off-road version. I miss the versatility of the Wee Strom, but would want something much better off-road (lighter, better suspended, more ground clearance, etc).

I want the on-street version.  Mags, trellis frame, low/hard suspension!  I'm just begging for aftermarket panniers!

I'm guessing it will be another short video with split second shots of various parts of the bike and not any more info than what we already know. But I hope I'm wrong....

judging from the the spread there, it looks like triumph may actually "leak" some real info this time.

cockpit looks a little tight Headscratch  Looking for a little more leg room if I'm going to tour on it.  We'll see when the official shots come out.

New video today at http://www.triumphadventure.com/ .  It consists of a bunch of close-ups and action shots of the bikes, but never just a straightforward shot.  The clips of the dual-sport version are pretty impressive.    Thumbsup

I'm glad I didn't go out and get a Versys just yet. I can't wait to throw a leg over one of these.

Latest line drawings of the Street-Triple-Tiger....  even the street version has a nice bash plate, and the exhaust routed to the side rather than under the sump.

Triumph will show the bikes in finished form at the Triumph Live on September 18 and 19.

Anyone have any thoughts on price? I'm thinking right under 11K. Maybe 10ish, but I doubt lower than that. I would think they would undercut the F800GS by a couple grand.

With the Sprint entering the market at $13.2..kinda makes sense. A lot of bike for the money.

I'm sure it will be awesome but my 07 KLR I just picked up for 3k with 2,600 miles on it will serve my need.. (I think)..(convincing myself)... EEK!
