Yep, that about sums it up!
Met a few of your fellow members on Sunday up in High Point. I'll take a gamble with names and say Jeets (on a Kawi 14), Skee (on a Wee) and JamminJere? (also on a Concours). Super nice guys, great chatting with them, and they mentioned the sight, so I'm dropping by.
The quick history: Started riding again in 2008 after a 10-12 year hiatus. ATGATT. Current and only ride is a 2000VFR. Bought her with about 5500 miles and now just shy of 13K. No big mods - Corbin, 2B hi-mount, Cat removed. That's about it.
Live in Mt. Olive (Morris County), NJ, so your July lunch in Long Valley was just around the corner from me.
I'm 41, got a wife, 3 kids, dog, mortgages, college tuition, etc. Owner with a partner in a commercial insurance brokerage. When I'm not riding, I'm fishing.
Most of my group rides are with folks from our "VFR" website. I don't know the rules here, so I won't go posting other websites. But we have a good group of about 5 or 6 that often ride together, and sometimes get up to about a dozen or so. But, it's always nice to meet other folks, regardless of what they ride. Hoping to meet a few people here, and make some new friends.
Look forward to meeting with everyone, and in the meantime I'll continue to browse the sight and see what else I can learn.
Oh yea - What's with all the "haters" on NJ roads?
Does everyone think there are no twisties in all of NJ?

Welcome aboard. You met the best of the Keystone Contingent on Sunday.
We have an active Forum in Region 6.
You may want to check into Central NJ/Region 6 and see what is/has been going on locally.

Welcome! We have a good group here. We don't hate NJ roads! NW NJ is great. Like someone said on Sunday; Once you go south and reach flemington, things go weird in NJ. I rag on NJ but mostly towards the govt.
If you can, Doc organizes great rides. Check out the link above.

Hey Welcome Pliskin. I grew up and also moved back for a while in your area. I know there's some good roads in NJ it's just that it's an easy target to make fun of. Have spent plenty of seat time though riding through Morris, Warren and Sussex counties. Hunterdon isn't bad either.
What kind of fishing? Fresh or Saltwater? I used to do my share of fishing in the Musconetcong, Pequest and at Round Valley Reservoir and Spruce Run.
Shout out if you are crossing the Delaware into PA anytime.

Whew! Thank goodness I was there!
Welcome indeed! And don't mind my comments regarding Jersey. I'm a West Coaster being held hostage here

It's a well-know, researched and widely published fact that there are no twisties in Jersey.
Let's keep it that way.

Well, there are several jug-handles on Rt. 1 near Princeton, and a few circles.

Lemme get this straight. You met these three guys and you still made your way to STN?

Welcome aboard. Keep an eye open for a Meet and Eat Ride or, better yet, try and make it to our ESTN rally or SNOB. You'll be able to meet other great folks from STN at these events.

This is a great site and a lot has to do with the lack of branding. I'm on a couple of Beemer sites and
I'm hoping to make the ride on the 25th, perhaps we'll meet you there.
