Anybody arriving Thursday evening??

I should be rolling in between 6-7pm Thursday with one of my co workers..

My plan is to ride the Blue Ridge down to the Lynn Cove Viaduct then hit Rt 80 and 226Alt then catch 221 back into Sparta.

Saturday I am headed over to the Snake via 58 and 91, then catch 321 to 88 back into Sparta....

We're stopping in Staunton Thursday nite.  Staying in town at the Stonewall Jackson so we can walk to the Mill Street Grill.

We'll be in Staunton Thursday night at the Stonewall Jackson as well.  Shane, we're planning on meeting up with SWRiverstone and Jaime Friday morning...heading down the BRP as well.   Sounds like we may all be frog hopping each other the whole way down.

My brother and I are heading out from Chester County early Friday.

Haven't decided on a firm route yet. I'd like to be in Sparta in time for hot shower and dinner.  Thumbsup

What's your route plan?

What's your route plan?

It's gonna be all highway to Staunton, 222, 283, 83, 581, 81 to the BRP. Just a tick over 500 miles for us. We're leaving at 6am from the Ephrata area. You riding down?

I ordered my tires.  They should get here by the end of the month, so plenty of time to put them on.  Short of my class having a test that monday I should be going.  Just have to decide if I will stay in Sparta or Winston Salem.

Sadly I have not had the time or place to paint the bike, so no fauxcati or my little pwny this time.  If there is any award for getting there on the worst POS I will win it.  Twofinger

I was up on the BRP and in Sparta Friday.  There is still sporadic road work.  Mainly guard rails but they go down to one lane and can stop you for a few minutes.  I think most of the major stuff was just north of Asheville and mostly done.  I highly recommend checking out conditions just prior to leaving.

OK, I'm down as a definite maybe.

I'm out. Grad school is going to kick my ass. Just got the syllabus for the two classes I'm taking. Crazy work load with all the reading, assignments and projects. There is a big group project due the Monday after ESTN. It appears that all areas of my life are going to be put on the back burner for the next several years. Sigh...

I need to call the Alleghany Inn and  cancel my room.  Sad

Been there, done that.  LOADS of empathy for you!  Use this first semester to get a feel for course loads, etc., and then make some adjustments so grad school doesn't DEFINE who you are and what you do 100% of the time.  Find the balance!  I refused to let grad school significantly alter my lifestyle, my vacation plans, etc. (after that first semester) and as such I managed to complete what is normally a two-year full-time program as a part-time student (working full-time) in just under three years all the while keeping up with the things I enjoyed.  It took some effort, but it was worth it.  BEST OF LUCK!  (And you'll be missed at ESTN!)

Julie and I will be coming in on Friday. Sparta is a little over an hour from our home but in our usual style, it will be a 250 mile trip to get there.

My brother (who attended the national in Lewisburg) and sil from Roanoke will be riding in Sat. AM.
