More pics of the Guzzi concept bike. Some say they hate it, but bear in mind that it is the two wheeled equivalent of the concept cars that appear at car shows as a collection of styling and engineering ideas so that public reaction can be gauged. The factory can then decide which ideas will make it to production.

Agreed. A bit cartoonish, I'd say.

V12? Only gots two cylinders I can see.  Headscratch

Looks like Honda figured out what to do with all the cooling fins that should have been on their rectifiers.

A Guzzi motor in what looks to be a racing chassis is kinda like lipstick on a pig.

I don't get why simplicity is such a hard concept to grok == if it isn't actively contributing to SOMETHING, take it off.

I'm no Guzzi fanboy, but I like the general style and applaud Guzzi for their design initiative.  The flip-up seat/tank combination is pretty cool, too.   Thumbsup

In detail, it is a bit busy, sort of like it was made of legos.  And whomever decided to use beige on some of the casings should be shown the business end of the Guzzi super-secret wind tunnel.

Word has it,  that this is how it's shaping up.  Too bad. I liked the number plate look on the front and the QuatD style exhaust.

Pretty sure that those beige pieces were design mock up pieces probably made out of a polymer. Not the final product.

This looks like someone imported a Griso and the concept bike into Photoshop, then had their way with them.  It doesn't look like a factory product to me.

Now if they lose the stupid ribbed panels on the sides, it'll look like a reasonably normal bike.
It certainly doesn't hold a candle to the MGS01 or the V7 Cafe classic.

Two observations...

1)  What's up with the heat sink looking things on the front?

2)  Why do a 2 into 1 exhaust when it's so much better looking with and exhaust on each side fo the bike.  That big can is hideous.

On the Griso the oil cooler is on the RH side so a 2-1 exhaust is required.

A freind of mine said that looks like a well done photo edit. the headlights color looks a bit off.and the area above where the cylinder meets the frame looks like it was darkened just to produce a shadow effect where you can tell by the shine spots on the bike that the light would be going directly on that.

looks great though. wouldn't mind one if i could afford it. hell maybe when i'm out of college.

The Piaggio rep was at our recent rally and brought some "secret" factory pictures with him. The V12 looks like it is currently named the Strada and while it keeps the best aspects of the design, the front end and headlight (while naked) is more normalized. It still had the sweet under bike exhaust, the nice fender, plate bracket off of the rear wheel, and seat.

The bike was quite attractive. There's also a rumor that it might be liquid cooled, which would really be something as then they could wring some real horsepower out of it.

It was beautiful and he hinted that it will be available within 3 years. I can't wait.

Much better looking that that half assed thing above.

I prefer the sound of an air cooled twin. guzzi is known for having amazing engine sounds. However I am interested to hear the sound of a liquid cooled traverse v twin. That new motus motorcycle has a liquid cooled traveres V4 that sounds great.

But I like the simplicity of the air cooled engines the most. Not as much crap to fiddle with.

CX650 Honda...sounds a lot like a Moto Guzzi, with a bit less mechanical noise. The exhaust note at speed, is very reminiscent of a Ducati or Guzzi.
