Just don't book the date until all the polls have been taken!  And/or til 48 hours after the polls have closed and all the late votes been counted!  

Yep, after thinking it was going to be in Ukiah last year until the very end, I think I'll go ahead and book rooms in Eureka too, just in case.  

Actually, the two biggest problems have been solved.

2005-2008 - Being in Las Vegas - just too far and needed too much time
2009-2010 - Back in NorCal, but no bike

So I figure I've got a good shot now.

As for National....it's irrelevant to me....I don't have that much time off this year, and I'm not too keep on a trip that long on a bike this old.  

But since the world is going to end in 2012 anyway, you can bet I'll be sure to make the 2012 National.

No worries. Believe me, I wish I could manage it. That would be epic.

I'll know more when I get some miles on it. I trust my own wrenching....to a point.   I just don't know the extent that this poor thing has been beaten quite yet. But I'd probably be willing to trek as far as Chester/Ukiah on it at this point.

So we are working towards 2011 and we should put the planning for this meet into high gear.

I'm maxxed out on the vacation I can earn.  Put me down for a 1600-mile round trip ride...somewhere.  Chester saves a whopping 87 miles as the slab flies.

Might want to check the other threads in this forum. I don't know of anyone else going to Chester on those dates
