This IS a sport-touring site, right?  I can safely say the ST is a better sport tourer than a 999...

As in the other thread, if we were voting simply by which bikes make better ST bikes a whole host of bikes should have lost in the first round.    999 is sexier than the ST to me.

Shrug  Maybe I'm being thick, but I don't understand these choices.  The bikes pitted against one another in all the "March Madness" polls I've seen aren't even similar, so what gives?  Why would you try to force a preference between a dedicated sportsbike/track weapon and a confirmed sports tourer?  It's a classic "apples and oranges" comparison, so unless I'm missing something, it's a meaningless waste of time.   Sleepy

I voted Sprint, cuz I have one and love it. Still if I wasn't getting married and just had a daughter there might well be something red and Italian in the garage too.........

Oh who am I kidding, I would buy two 675s, one for the track and one for the road :-)

Sprint St for Touring. I have a 06 ST and love it. I have ridden a 999s  for over 200 miles. The Ducati is a great bike but not for tour riding. I will stick to my Triumph.

999 is taking a beating.  I blame it on Bizarro's new avatar.   Razz
