Anyone going?  I have never been, and I figured it would be good to go once.  I'm still on the fence.  I might go with some guys from work, but I'll probably want to ride in a more spirited fashion going home.  Smile

At first read I was pretty embarrassed for MS that they could not come up with a better name than Sturgis South. That Was until I read the history and was learned that the MS town is named Sturgis Embarassment Now color me stupid Rolleyes

Not going but next time I see you I will want to see your rally pin Bigsmile

Let me save you a bunch of time, sweat, energy, and a headache...don't go.

I went back in '03.  I think they had about 30,000 attending that year (numbers have been down somewhat recently) and it was bumper to bumber open piped bikes bouncing off the rev limiter.  I was cooking on my VFR just trying to find a place to park.  There were a lot of vendors selling vests, chaps and fingerless gloves and no vendors selling anything remotely interesting to me.  I did not stay to listen to the washed up rock band that had a one hit wonder back in '79. Who knows, maybe staying for the concert would have changed my view of the event?

Nope.  Lots of chores.  I'm heading over to Trace State Park for some trail riding next weekend.
