Question on the Scorpion EXO 1000.
«

I'm looking at replacing my EXO 700 with an EXO 1000. I've been very happy with the anti-fogging coating on the shield, but I'm just curious if the inner visor has this treatment as well as the outer shield. My sunglasses fog in cool weather, making some mornings brutal on the eyes. Anyone have some good cold weather use with the 1000? Also, has anyone tried some of the breath deflectors out there, like the 'Foggy Respro"?

Don't do the 1000. Lost of postings I've read from very happy 700 owners that went to the 1000 said the 1000 is a POS.
I have a 700 and really like it for a FF.

Yeah, the more I read about the 1000, the more I think I'll go with the 700 or possibly a 400. I don't really want to try another brand because the anti-fog qualities mainly, but maybe if the "Foggy Respro" work well, I wouldn't mind. Possibly a flip-up. But there's a whole new can of worms......

I have a 1000... while it's better than the shoei that it replaced which fogged up at anything under 70, it still isn't great when the temp really starts to dip.
I got a great deal on the exo, but if I had to replace it tomorrow I can't tell you that it would be with another one. I like the flip down visor but other than that, it's not a great helmet. It's heavy, noisy, doesn't vent well, and still fogs up... even with the "fog" crack open.
I will give it props for fit. When I bought it I was worried that the pads would never set in... to the point that I almost got rid of it. But, after several day long rides, the pads set in and now it's very comfortable. Not sloppy, but it fits like a glove... and that's the most important feature by far.

I've been reading a lot of reviews lately and I think I'm just more confused, but it sounds like I'll just get another 700.

Good choice. I think the 700 is a great helmet at that price point.

Been looking at new helmets and the EXO-1000 may do it for me.
I wear glasses and the flip-down visor on my HJC IS-16 works great for me, so looking at that feature on any new helmet.
Tried the EXO-1000 on and it seemed very tight, almost to small but only when donning, once on felt great.
My IS-16 is probably 1 size too big, could probably have gone XL - but fit around the forehead was way too tight.
So looking now at the EXO-1000 and the AGV S4 SV.

I tried a 1000 and thought the sun visor wasn't dark enough. But other than that, it seemed to be a very good helmet. Can't comment on the fit other than the XL I tried didn't seem to have any obvious hot spots in the time I had it on. YMMY
