You better bring a couple of bags of breadcumbs this time Frank.

Your GPS may be doing the "twist and shout" after this ride.

It's a well-know, researched and widely published fact that there are no twisties in Jersey.

Let's keep it that way.

that myth will be busted on teh 25th.   Beerchug

Youz guyz are takin me way 2oo serioiously...sheesh.

Have I ever complained - really - except for that time we got stuck on that long straight stretch of 209 - but other than that; huh?

Speakin of twisties; I was actually trying to figure a way to make it from SE PA to CNJ via Highpoint by 10:30;  just a little pre-ride warm up to get sand flat spots off, if you know what I mean.  I think I'm going to look for a little less ambitious route.  I'm sure I'll get my fill of twisties later in the day.

TJ, Marty, and I ran the route today just to work out any bugs.

Quite warm today, but worth every mile.

All systems are go for next Sunday.

Not sure about breakfast at the Pilot, but the Clinton Station Diner is just a mile and or so down the service road(173). Just be ready to ride at 11:00am from the Pilot Station and be sure to check out this post:

Thanks for the link to the rules post, it's been read and understood. Also there's a Cracker Barrell at the Pittsown exit (I think #15). I've never eaten at the Clinton Sation Diner, it might be worth a try.

You are correct on the Cracker Barrel location. I suggested the Clinton Station Diner because it is on the same service road as the Pilot and there would be no reason to enter/re-enter Interstate 78.

+1 on Clinton Station Diner.  Good location & pastries.  Almost stopped there last night.

Forest Rats were out in force yesterday about 7 PM.  So be careful out there.

I saw at least 3 different groups, 2 standing out if fields and 1 crossing the road, on 519 [and what I think was Hickory Hill Rd] approaching Milford.  I also saw a sign somewhere along the way that said Deer Corn for sale.

What is Deer Corn?

Please don't tell me it is what I think it is.  I'd rather be seeing signs that say buckshot for sale...

I'm assuming this is an RT-friendly ride?

I don't want to show up for a first ride with you guys and find out I need bash-plates from the Wunderlich catalog.

SUNDAY RIDE: 7/25/10

MID-SUMMERS DAY RIDE: Jersey Style

ASSEMBLY: Pilot Station, Interstate 78/Exit 12. (be aware of the traffic pattern for ingress/egress)

KICKSTANDS UP: 11:00 am

RAIN DATE: SUNDAY, 8/1

ROUTE: Over the river and through the woods. No mixed surface/no water crossings. Dunch on the NJ/Pa border after the ride. Be fueled and fed before departure.

Post-up so Tj, Marty, and I can get a headcount.

All are welcome, but for the sake of the new comers, please review the post listed below. It may answer a lot of questions and set some boundaries.
