Yes, I know it is in another region; but I figure plenty of local Region 2 types have probably ridden up there.

The wife and I just decided to ride up there next week from our home in Santa Fe.  I've never been there, and an old buddy lives not far away.  Any special comments, advice, suggestions?  We figure on starting out after work and riding a few hours, then camping.  Next morning on to Mesa Verde.  That evening head south again for a bit before stopping.  Then home the next morning.  That'll keep it relaxed, as Mrs. Medic likes to ride at an easy pace.

Any input welcome!

Actually take the time to go on a couple hikes and see the ruins. Cool stuff.

I was there two weeks ago .  Thumbsup

Great place... You want to spend the whole day there, or you'll have to skip some areas. We camped inside the Park, there is a well supplied store there and a cafeteria - all you can eat pancakes breakfast  Wink. You can take guided tours and either drive yourself and pay $3 per person, per site (they take you to three major ones), or take the organized tours, where a bus drives you - $25 to $45 per person...This may include lunch, I'm not sure. We took the less expensive option  Razz

It was great place to visit !!!

Have fun  Bigok

Cheers,
