Iron Butt Ride Saturday

The Colorado Freewheelers will be hosting their yearly ride Saturday the 21st. Start time is between 2am and 4am.

1029 miles.

Denver CO to Laramie Wy, Walden CO, Craig, Duchesne UT, south to 70 then east back to Denver.

I'm signed up and taking tomorrow off to make sure the bike's ready and catch a few Z's before leaving my place at midnight.

Are you riding your Busa?
If so, there will be two of them on the ride.

Yep. Did you ride two years ago (last time I participated)?

I know of two 'busa's on that ride. He came in first, I came in second

It's been a few years since I've done this ride.    

Last time I did it, I was on a TL-1000R, and I went through about 250 miles of rain.
They told me I was the third one in.   I didn't know they kept score.

I just try to keep a good pace.    This years course looks pretty simple.

Yea, that may have been the one. There was a heavy rainstorm coming over the mountains towards the end. The prior two rides I was riding with someone. I don't see the ride on my list but some part should be on the site. I know i didn't get many pics due to the weather.

I'm leaving here Saturday at midnight or so so i can get checked out and bail at 2am for the ride.

Damn. One of Rita's bees caught me in the right eyebrow. If it's closed tonight then i'm not going.
