Hey guys, I've been a long time Buell lover...I've never sat on one but I'm afraid I'm gonna look goofy. I'm 6'1" 250 lbs. Am I going to look like a circus bear on a tricycle? Is a Lightning going too be cramped for me?

6', 230 lbs.  This picture was taken on Mt. Lemmon (Tucson).  This was a rental unit from Hacienda HD.  I owned an '03 XB9S that looked nearly identical.

Yes, bike is small, but you'll love it.

I'm pretty much the same height/weight as you. As great as the XB Buells handled, I looked pretty silly on the Lightning and Firebolt.  The Ulysses fits just right!

Not on the Lightning Long nor the Ulysses.

But definitely yes on the CityX, standard Lightnings, and maybe the R.  They are small bikes.  But man!  That's what makes them a hoot to ride!

I am 6' 275lbs and I rode a XB9R when they first came out.

The guy riding behind me said that from the back it looked like I had a tire coming out of the crack of my ass.

I guess I was a little too big for that bike.....

I'm 6'1" and 190lb and can't wait to demo the Lighting Long XB12Ss.Drool I'm hoping to ride one at the Long Beach CW show.

So far I rode a Uly, fit perfectly, and a City, felt small but not uncomfortably so.

I once rode an older tube frame Buell and I'm impressed with how far the newer models have come.Thumbsup

Dude! Go and sit on one and see if you're comfortable on it. If it fits, get it. Don't worry about how you look riding it, you will be having so much fun it won't matter. They they are like mini-bikes for grownups.

+1    I have to COMPLETELY agree with Nomog (or whatever his name is)!  I'm 5' 11" and ride 'Bolt and LOVE it!!!  I slapped some Lightning pegs on it for more cockpit space and couldn't be happier!!  This bike just LOVES corners even with soft bags loading down the rear.  I SAY if you fit on the ride in the showroom and go "daaaang this is a SWEEET ride!"  then GO for it!!!!!
