If anyone can help me out here I'd appreciate it. I have to get a 1971 Suburban and a 1967 Airstream Silver Streak out of storage in Houston and back on the road. Both vehicles were restored in early 2009 and spent time on the road but they've spent the last ten months in storage and are going to need some easy work before going again. They both need tires and the Suburban needs a tune-up and likely a battery.

I have someone down there who will help manage this but I need some advice or recommendations on a trusty mechanic. The vehicles are in storage about ten miles from Bush International and I can have them towed but would like to limit the towing distance if at all possible.

Thanks for looking.

Wow, 53 views and nary a reply. Someone has got to know a shade-tree mechanic or even a pro in the area. Pretty please!

I lived in Houston for a few years but, always took my pickup to the Toyota dealer.

You might try posting over on the Two Wheeled Texans forum.

Quite a few  Houstonites over there.
