How and why the hell would you shit in your pockets? That's just stupid.

Thought everyone did that-cheaper than heated gear in winter.

Total newb here, about to start riding soon (waiting on the bike) and I was wondering - where do people put accessories like keys, wallet, cell, iPod, etc. while riding? In the inner pants pocket (if wearing overpants)? In the overpants? In the jacket? Just wondering if people have opinions on where to put things for accessibility and safety in the case of a fall.

Not in your pockets!!! That's ridiculous.  Get a small rear sack to put things in if you need to carry that much stuff!

+1 !  Everything  for me goes in the tankbag.

Good enough for Poof...good enough for me!

I will carry ear plugs and some cash in a pants pocket...everything else (wallet, cell phone, spare keys, camera, etc...) is in the fairing pockets, the panniers, or the tank bag.  The tank bag is the "most civilized" farkle on my 'cycle.  Can't imagine riding anywhere (other than a track day) with one...
