Come ride. Don't think about it. Do it! Meet spot at the BP/McDonalds at I55 and Rt6(exit 248) at 9AM then head to SR for Sunday Brunch. Cruise to SR for brunch then explore some roads further west. All bike types and all ability levels are welcome.

There are two lunch/brunch options available: Outside on the porch (standard stuff like burgers, brats, chicken sandwiches, hotdogs and chips) or....

Sunday Brunch: Main Dining Hall - http://www.starvedrocklodge.com/_data/files/BRUNCH%20MENU1.pdf

Post up if you want to ride. Let me know if you want the brunch option by Saturday AM so I can make the reservation. Food and Gratuity should be just south of $20.

You do know there is a little cafe off the lobby of the lodge that has a good cup of coffee and good panini to.

Posted speed limits in town. A little over in between. No demon rides here.

On Sunday?  A cluster f#*k.     Cruiser central and all kinds of rolling road blocks.

I can't remember the last time i was out there on a weekend.

One time i got caught behind a group of pirates going so slow that i had to slip the clutch in 1st gear.

Just got back from a ride there last night.  Don't know if you plan to take Cemetery Rd. or Old Stage Rd but there was a portion of one of them that was totally torn up.  Would have been fun if I was on my old DR but a bit much for the FZ6.  I pressed on and did make it through however Smile  Now if I could only remember exactly which one of those roads it was to help you guys out Headscratch

Anyone try Anne's Hideaway out that way?  Off the beaten path but some good pasta and chicken.

Anne's in Naplate is alright. Row House on Columbus Street in Ottawa is really good. The Cajun place on Rt. 6 outside of Utica is really good too.

I'm interested.  Knowing the route would be nice.  I usually take Hansel Road to Cemetery Road into Morris and then cross the river to the southside on 47 and then continue along the river heading west.

That's just about how we are doing it. May also make a pit stop at the wind farm out that way.

Did they finally repave 71 through the park?  I was there few months ago and it was a wreck.  As bad as some of the surface streets in chicago.

I'm interested.  Will there be a lunch/brunch or something?  A meeting place somewhere in the SR area?  A time for meeting up there?

It's not repaved but I didn't find it unrideable. Just went through there earlier this week. There actually was no construction, which hasn't been the case in a long time!

I might go too, if just for a bit.

Starved Rock is my back yard.  I will be working Sunday at the FD in Peru.  Actually if you are in the area between 10:00am-2:00pm ride thru the intersection of Shooting Park Road and Peoria Street.  I will be there collecting money for MDA. Sorry, shameless plug.
