I'm interested. Will there be a lunch/brunch or something? A meeting place somewhere in the SR area? A time for meeting up there?
Arm feeling better Bill? Good to hear you're up for a ride.
Normally I'd be attending this, but the wife and I just checked in to the hotel in Indy. Going to the GP tomorrow.
You all have fun.

If I go I might just sit and wait for you at the stop sign by Illini State Park in Marseilles. I'll be on the Yamaha WR250X motard.

I know where that is. Southside of the river right? We are going to take that turn off before hitting that spot to go to the wind farm. Do you know where that farm is?

Did they finally repave 71 through the park? I was there few months ago and it was a wreck. As bad as some of the surface streets in chicago.
Things are much better through the park.

Yep south of the river.
I think there are two farms. One is near Ransom and the other is by Grand Ridge.

Yes I do. I really don't post a lot on this forum. I hang out more on the Concours forum. Full time firefighter in Peru.

Feeling a bit under the weather today. Just laying low with the family - no riding for me today. Hope everyone is having fun!

Ditto. If I ride at all it will be close to home.

What are you doing that far south?
I was coming back from AR/MO... But yes, a waste indeed. Most trips south these days go through indiana

Nope. I showed up as did about 10 or 12 others. Had a good ride though Old Stage Road was closed so had to detour. I didn't stay for brunch but headed home. It got pretty warm out. Took part of I-80 home and heading west was some sort of cycle run. Saw hundreds of cruisers.

Sooooo....it was a section of Old Stage Road that was closed. Now we know. I just kept going and did a little off roading. FZ did an alright time of handling it. How was the detour? Take you far out of the way?

We headed north a bit back up to route 6 and headed west to Seneca, crossed the river and then followed the river west.

It was good riding with you even though it was a slower pace and shorter distance than I would normally ride. It was more of a cruise and shoot the shit ride until we got to Starved Rock. Old Stage Coach Road construction put a slight damper on things because that is one of my favorite bits. After brunch, which was excellent by the way, seven of us headed west on 71 to 26 then 26 south to Banta road. We road Banta twice then headed back to I80 and home. It was hot but still a great ride with great peeps. Glad you could make it keeptryn.
