03 999 service light

My 03 999 has 9100 kilometers on it and only a couple more days of insurance. I know how to winterize bikes and what I do in the spring is truck them down south for service, my question is if I get the Ducati serviced before the wrench light come on at 10000 kilometers will it come on at 10000 and drive me nuts all next summer until it goes in for service again?

My Monster was serviced just before the 20,000km mark so started telling me just afterwards that it wanted servicing.  My Ducati mechanic told me how to reset it - for that bike it is simple.

For Zed's ST3s resetting the wrench symbol is *much* more complicated....

It will come on and drive you nuts, they cannot turn it off until it pops up.

Yup, but no worries.  You stop worrying about it after awhile
