So, really, is all this cat-baiting getting out of hand? Shall we instead feed the cookie1960 v. ConPilot1 feud? Should we (more) mercilessly hound shah about his flagrant disregard for that little red line under 90% of what he writes?

Or is all fair in love and war?

I think that the imbalance of the bacon/cat post ratio may be the cause of the midsummer PMS some here have been exhibiting. We should form a task force and investigate.

I'll start. I'll go eat some bacon. Drool

Think I'll pick up some pulled pork from Smokedaddy's on the way home from work...it's been a while.

Said the 8 year old girl who saw how pigs are slaughtered..."Why does bacon have to taste soooo goood?!?!?"

My grandson came over and joined a few friends and I for dinner a few days ago and we had pork chops. We raise our own, and these particular chops came from a hog named Bacon. All the adults kept trying to convince the kid we were eating pork chops, but he was adamant that we were eating Bacon. *snerk*

So you're saying the eye witnesses are all full of shit and that we should all believe the cop's story.  Yeah ... OK.  Rolleyes Lol  We'll have to wait a few days to see what the "investigation" concludes.  You don't find it just a little "questionable"?

Here ya go ... another questionable police behavior happened today.  2nd person killed in 2 days by over reactive cops.

http://www.kirotv.com/news/24833678/detail.html

http://federalway.komonews.com/content/suspected-car-thief-fatally-shot-police

They shot at him about 12 times (according to witnesses from other sources) because he tried to move the truck after they ditch him.  The cops considered the moving truck a "deadly weapon"  Rolleyes

So does that mean if some syco in a car tries to run me off the road and is using his car as a "deadly weapon" that I can blow his fuckin' brains out and be justified?  Cops can do it all day long and it's OK?  I've seen this kind of shit many times.  The fact is the cops are so pissed off from the chase that they lose it and just open fire on people if they continue to elude.  Smooth move on the cops part.  Crazy

I'm not saying anything - haven't read your links, don't plan to.  But I'm damn sure you're spinning the hell out of whatever you read and are clearly on a crusade/quest whatever to badmouth cops whenever you can.  I hate dirty cops as much as the next guy, but your posts are so out of whack the only intended result is clearly to spread cop hate and paranoia.

End the crusade.  It's getting tiresome. Almost as tiresome as cats.

Well, then you have zero room to criticize if you can't even read the freakin' articles.  Rolleyes  If you "hate dirty cops as much as the next guy" (as you quoted), or unethical or unprofessional police behavior then you might understand.  If you don't like it, then just skip over it ... just like many probably do with the cat threads.

Your "crusade" to get people to stop posting things YOU don't want to read will FAIL every time.   Lol

Likely will, unless I find it necessary to point out to anyone reading your rhetoric that you are on a quest to badmouth all cops, good and bad.

I'm commenting on you, not the articles that are applicable to a tiny majority of the nation's LEO's.

You. Are. Spreading. Cop. Hate.  I don't like it.  So if you spead it, I may point out your skewed view as being bullshit.  Get it?

Another slow guy that can NOT understand plain 'ol English.  Go quote me where I've specifically said all cops are bad.  Rolleyes  IF you could read, you'd understand it's about cops that have questionably behavior while conducting their profession.

Hey, I called for cop assistance this very morning.  Had to call 911 on some syco that was out if his car raging on another driver.  Maybe the other driver just shot his ass after I went by, as I'm sure his life probably felt threatened.  Thumbsup

Again ... go show me where I'm badmouthing ALL cops.  I really wish some (blind biased) people like you could understand simple concepts.  You say you hate bad cops, YET you maintain that talking about questionable cop behavior on a case by case basis is badmouthing all cops.  Your logic is flawed ... are you trolling or are you tied to LE in some way?

Dude, you rip on cops and publicize the terrible acts of shitty cops when no one is talking about cops.  That in and of itself is anti-cop behavior.  At least man up to your opinon that cops suck.  Don't hide behind "I'm only talking about the bad ones" crap.  You don't like cops.  Period.  If you did, you wouldn't be on a crusade to publicize bad cops, the only result of which is negativity for all cops.  And you are totally on a crusade.

And if any one is trolling, it sure as hell ain't me.  I just don't like it when people spread cop hate - for, I don't know, 98% of the profession (? I know no statistics, only my personal experience in Chicago), it's a most honorable, difficult job and treated that way.  Carry on.

You're  coming to your own false conclusions.  It's no different than talking about bad politicians, bad government workers, bad military actions, bad employees, bad etc, etc, etc.  There's been a real uptick in questionable police behavior lately, and it's something I like talking about and seeing how others feels about such behavior.  Obviously any cop or anyone connected to LE will be biased and think every death of a citizen in the line of duty is "justified".

YOU obviously have some kind of problem hearing about bad police behavior ... why is that?  Sorry if YOU don't like it, but that's just tough shit!

And if any one is trolling, it sure as hell ain't me.  I just don't like it when people spread cop hate - for, I don't know, 98% of the profession (? I know no statistics, only my personal experience in Chicago), it's a most honorable, difficult job and treated that way.  Carry on.

If you were paying attention, these threads got posted because of the content of the thread.  This thread wanted to know what we should talk about beside fricken cat killing ... so I switched the topic.  Maybe I should just start these as new threads, would that make you happy?  Again, tough shit.  Carry on.  Bigok

What were we talking about again? Bacon? Flamebaiting? Extraordinary rendition?

If I could lock my own threads, I would put this one out of its misery. But alas… I'll have to settle for increasing the population of Ignoreville.

You can lock your own threads, just edit your first post. I think it's under "other options" or something. Unless you're ignoring me now (that number keeps going up and down - I can't keep track...), in which case, hopefully someone helpful will quote me.  Bigsmile

Obviously any cop or anyone connected to LE will be biased and think every death of a citizen in the line of duty is "justified".

and

YOU obviously have some kind of problem hearing about bad police behavior ... why is that?  Sorry if YOU don't like it, but that's just tough shit!

If you were paying attention, these threads got posted because of the content of the thread.  This thread wanted to know what we should talk about beside fricken cat killing ... so I switched the topic.  Maybe I should just start these as new threads, would that make you happy?  Again, tough shit.  Carry on.  Bigok

Dude, free country, post what you want.  But don't for a second think you are being fair and impartial.  Read your posts.  I can't even believe I'm responding to you.  I don't have a problem hearing about bad police behavior - I have a problem with your publicizing and twisting bad shit into a full on negative publicity campaign for cops.  You're posts make you out to be a serious fucktard.  Are you?  Or are you looking for a rise out of people?  I wonder what you're like beyond the 1's and 0's.  Well, I won't be a COnnie. Push someone else's buttons from here on.  I'm out.

Settle down sparky - I'm only referring to your continual allowing others to push your buttons, your inability to realize people are simply trying to rile you up for fun.  You let them.  It's nothing personal, it's just a trait you've demonstrated in spades.  Don't be so sensitive.

At least she's not trying to force some Medieval lit written in old High English down the kid's throats
and keep with something they may actually be interested in.

Problem is the little bastards will be filing their teeth down and filling thermos'es with blood

Good god, you think any school district would endorse garbage like that?  No, she taught Shakespeare and other classics (in addition to English).  She also taught a science fiction class.  But as we know, outside of school kids that read tend to read other stuff.  I've read a few young adult books she's tossed my way and they were actually pretty good (Fade by Robert Cormier, Holes by Louis Sachar, etc).

Twilight?  Hurl

Anyway, back on topic...please keep bashing each other. Lol

There is a notebook, about 18 cents in pennies some stacked mail, a pair of safety glasses, a roll of paper towels and a box of Star Trek DVDs. No twilight. I'm not really sure what that is. I know its about gay pretty vampires that's about it.

I killed a cat today, I think. Totally accidentally, though. Cat committed suside, actually. One should never race across the road in front of an 80,000 pound wrecker pulling a broken Peterbuilt at 55mph. I think all 5 axles got him 4 on the wrecker, 1 on the Peterbuilt.

Interesting ... here's a friendly question for you.  Did you ever prosecute any police officers for what they did on duty?

A recent trial of a police officer in this area (that was caught on video making racist comments while stomping on the head a suspect laying on his stomach) was found innocent of a hate crime.  The reason given was because he did not originally target the suspect racially, so it was OK to use racial slurs while making an arrest.  And the suspect he did this to was just an innocent by stander in the wrong place at the wrong time.  Crazy  Yeah, "special" prosecutors for sure.   Bigok

Sounds "justified" to me!  Thumbsup

Maybe you'll get mistakenly arrested someday and an officer will stomp your face in the ground with his boot and say:

"You got me? I'm going to beat the mother fuckin' white honky cracker piss out of you hillbilly. You feel me?"

I'm sure you'd be OK with that since your such and easy going guy.  Lol

http://www.komonews.com/news/local/102002003.html

And just for giggles ... some clearly justified, others not so clear cut.

You can lock your own threads, just edit your first post. I think it's under "other options" or something. Unless you're ignoring me now (that number keeps going up and down - I can't keep track...), in which case, hopefully someone helpful will quote me.  Bigsmile

Sorry, not ignoring you. Just ignoring this circle-jerk thread. Checked back in to see what the vote tally was. As far as I can tell, locking your own threads is limited to Contributors, as I don't see the option in the original post.

Sorry for my absence, been busy and will continue to be, but BUsa, if what you say is true, cop was still found guilty of battery or unnecessary force or whatever else he was charged with.  For a crime to be a hate crime, the intent of the crime, i.e., picking that person to beat, must be based on the persons' race/gender/religion.  Not just an arrestee.  Read the statutes.  You're still acting like a fucktard about cops.

How's that for civilized?
