The 2007 Cal 24 Rally will be held on June 8th, 9th and 10th, 2007.
There has been some big news for this years rally.  Mike Heran, my long time friend and partner in the Cal 24 has decided to retire from his duties.  We wish him well, and I'm sure we will still see around this year.  Mark Crane, a long time participant in the rally has offered up his time and talents to take over as Rallymaster this year.  Mark has already mentioned to me that he has some great new ideas for the rally this year.  I and the rest of the staff all look forward to seeing what Mark can up with.
Also, please note that the term "Endurance" has been removed from the name and all terms within the rally.
The Start/Finish line will be back in King City California.  The exact location and hotel/motel details will be included in the Rally Pack that is sent out after your entry is received.
The entry fee Has gone up slightly for the first time since 1993.  The increase is to cover the increased cost of expenses incurred putting on the rally.  The entry fee includes the rally entry, rally shirt, banquet and door prizes.  Entries will be limited to 70 riders, first come, first served.
The  Cal 24 Rally will again be a fund raiser for the Center for the Education of Infant Deaf, in Berkeley Ca.  These are great people who do a wonderful service of diagnosing, and educating deaf children in the Bay Area.  Check out their web-site at: www.ceid.org to learn more about them, and what they do.  There will be a minimum donation of $50 per rider, ($100 per couple) to the center.
Giving a new Aerostitch Suit to the person who raises the most money for CEID was so well received last year that we are going to do it again this year!
Registration is open as of December 1st, 2006.

You can find the registration form at www.cal24.com

Thank you for your interest in the Cal 24 Rally.

I'm in for the third time. I can't wait to see what we're in for! Hopefully, I'll have a more organized mindset and system this time around.

Last year I got shorted 2000 points when I wasn't credited for jumping off the rock. This year, I'll take no one's word when they say "Yeah, yeah, I recorded your points."

Got my rider pack last week. Sa-weet. This will be my third, and I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully, the new scoring system will help relieve my starting-line malady: I get so caught up in planning the last couple of legs that I end up getting on the road 45 minutes after the start time.

FWIT, I'm rider #25.
