long term member, seldom a poster.  been awhile since I have had any activity on the site.

Just moved down from Northern NH to south of Dothan, AL

have not had much seat time since the move, and I guess most of the decent roads are north of Montgomery (2 hours north of me)

Pamama City is about an hour away too....

wife and I are planning to ride down to Thunder at the Beach bike weekend in the beginning of October.

anyone who has any insight to some decent roads close to the Dothan Area, bike nights, rally events,  etc..... please  let me know !

If I lived in Dothan AL, I'd be making plans to attend the last round of the AMA motorcycle races at Barber scheduled for the end of this month.
Should be lots of riders there to hook up with.
I wish I could go but with just going to Indy last weekend, and ESTN next weekend, followed by the MSTA Tri-State rally in Dillard GA the next weekend, I'd be pushing my luck here at home to get away the next weekend to Barber.
Their is the Fall Colors MSTA rally in WV the first weekend in October  Headscratch

Welcome, I'm originally from NE also. You won't miss the frost heaves, or have to wait until May for all the salt/sand to wash away Lol Definitely get up to Barber, the place is a gem, what we should have had instead of NHIS.

Indeed. I was a corner marshal at Bryar/NHIS for years, tough place to race, tough place to work. No worries though, you're in roadracing mecca now.

Is Dothan in northern Alabammy? If so, get yourself to the AMA races (MotoDog and I will be there) as well as the Barber Vintage Festival next month, which is absolutely awesome and should NOT be missed.

The 5 or 6 hours is worth the tire wear for Barber alone, however leave to go get lunch as the food at the track left a lot to be desired.

Dreamland is close by in Bham.

29 Dreams is a good place to stay near the track as well.
