That spot is 15 miles north of Morenci, AZ and 53 miles south of Hannagan Meadow, AZ.
I think we've all taken a photo from that spot. As I recall, there's a big boulder to stand on to get a great angle.
The other de rigeur spot is the hairpin featured in this photo. It has a big gravel turnout, and you can get a great shot of the road as it winds down to the left and up to the right.

Has anyone ridden either rte 191 or 180 since the fires? I'll be heading out this way next month and wondering whether I should avoid the whole area or not. Thanks

Where's "190" & "181"?
I know Hwy 191 in AZ and Hwy 180 in NM was affected by the recent fires. I've heard theres a lot of gravel and mud washed over the road due to the lack of vegetation.
