Didn't want to start a new thread... when is this bike supposed to hit US dealers?  I can't find any info.  I want to be first in line for a test ride!

They are already out in Europe and Australia.  I'd expect shipments to reach our shores very shortly.  My dealer is having a 'new model' showcase party next month, which includes the 2011 S3, IIRC.

Good to hear.  Time to start ramping up efforts to sell the FJR.

Still looking at the Diavel and the K1300S, but I'm unsure about the Diavel's looks (and the price!) and the K1300S is probably too close in feel to the FJR I have now.  It's still a shaft driven, long wheelbase bike that isn't terribly lightweight in comparison.

I feel like I'm a test ride away from buying the new S3, but I want to test ride all three of those bikes on the same day (I can ride the Diavel and the S3 at the same dealer).

Dealers are trying to push 2009 and 2010 models at steep discounts (Under 10K), so this new bike will cost roughly $3000 more than the previous version? Headscratch

Alex, when and where is that?

Specifically it is on 3/25 and 3/26 at the location Shane linked.  I will ask whether the new Speedie will be attending when I drop my bike off later this week (fork is leaking   ).

WooHoo!!  Upgrade time!  8^)

I have the '00 Speedy and just love the hell out of it.  Got that TORS exhaust with the Tuneboy map and it sounds like pure delight.  I recently started working on Saturdays for a local stealership which sells Kawi, Suzi and Yamaha.  Every person that walked in who found out I was the owner of the Speedy wanted to hear it start up!  I almost was like, ok, $10 for adults, $5 for the chillrenz.   Lol

Yeah you know I'm just kidding.  You need a Speed III, Smoker.   Wink

Last night I confirmed at the dealer that the 2011 Speed Triples are due here at the end of March.  I'm pretty excited to have at least a test-sit to feel the revised geometry.

I like the new flyscreen visor option for the S3's.  It's very similar to the Street Triple flyscreen/visor set-up, which I find pretty effective.  For the earlier Speed Triples i think flyscreen extensions were all aftermarket.

Kudos to Triumph for frame-mounting the flyscreens on their naked sportsbikes - less wind interference on the bars.

That CW video sure seems to show the increased agility of this bike over the last generation.  Weight-forward design was the way to go.
