Well if I have to vote for one of these and seeing as they all suck for someone with two new hips I'm gonna have to start elimnating them one at a time.

Honda Goldwing: If I had to ride a Wing or never ride anything for the rest of my life I would have to really think about that decision. That's how much I love Honda Goldwings. Answer: Fuck no!
A big Harley: I'd ride/own a big twin Harley anyday but seeing as I'm sportin' a couple new shnazzy hips it probably wouldn't be the best decision. Answer: Maybe.
A big Victory: Kinda like a Harley lite. Answer: I'd say no. Not emphatically but no none the less.
Suzuki Burgman: Fuck no! Answer: Not gonna catch my grown-up ass on a feckin' scotter pally.
Something with stabilisers: Hmmm.... maybe. I'd ride a Vincent w/ stabilizers. Answer: Maybe.

So I guess it's a tie between a big Harley and a Vincent w/ stabilizers.

What constitutes "old"? I'm 50. Squids think I'm an old man, but I get called "young man" by the 70, 80 and 90 years olds in my Retreads club chapter. If it's a state of mind, I'll never qualify 'cuz I intend to stay immature forever.

I would never road test a Goldwing. In case I liked it.

You'd have to be real careful where you rode that. The Vincent faithful would probably kill you if you hacked it up due to your handicapable lower unit.

For me the Goldwing question has been answered a few years ago. I rode a buddy's 1800 Wing and then a couple weeks later drove another friend's Audi TT convertible. Even though the Audi leans the wrong way in corners it really was no contest.

Apples and oranges, people buy big touring bikes when they get old enough they wan to be comfortable, then people buy Burgmans and things with stablizers when they are too old hold up Big Touring bikes.

I already own a Royal Star Venture, when I get too old to hold it up, I will get a sports car. Unless they start producing full size motorcycles like the Vespa MP3 or this. www.motorcycle-usa.com/photogallerys/Tesseract_action.jpg


And why anyone would get a Burgman is beyond me, the Yamaha V-star 650 is lower, lighter and cheaper. And it is a real motorcycle.
