BMW F800? (maybe it's called an F650 or something but it's an 800). Great tourer, so I'm told.

eie FZ1 is a great all purpose cycle in my book.  Yes I've only had mine a few months, but I've put on almost 10k.  Take your time and shop.  I purchased my '06 with 135 miles for $4300 and this included a lot of extra gear.

If you have any questions go to the FZ1OA site.  All the information you will need or can ask for at your finger tips.

And just like was posted, range is not a problem.

Good luck, great shopping.

Wow, what a great price. They're around $2k more expensive here in Canada.  Maybe I should be patient and wait for right deal to come.

The F800 is a bit pricey I find. Maintenance should be more as well.

I just found out that a VFR will have the same insurance for me! Now I have another to decide on. Sad It has a larger tank, full fairings, great accessories. What do you think?

I just found out that a VFR will have the same insurance for me!

My DL1000 was cheaper to insure than my Katana 750. The DL was newer, lighter, and more powerful. Go figure. You might be surprised by what insurance costs for a lot of bikes you haven't considered.

BTW, +1 for the VFR. Always liked that bike!

Yea, the DL looks like a very good bike. Heard it sits pretty tall which I don't like too much. The SV was had a good engine but I want to try I4. The offroad potential of the DL is appealling though. I did a search and find its priced pretty high around here, a tad more than a first gen FZ1.   How are those dual sport knobby tires for street riding? Do they wear faster?

I don't run my bike as an offroad bike but hit gravel where ever I can find it.

I'm running a Metzler Tourance in the front and a Continental Trail Attack in the rear. These are basically street tires.

The seat is definately tall. You can look down into cars real good. Lol
