On the coat tails of the Yamaha FZ8, Suzuki is bringing out their own middleweight naked, the new GSR750.  The GSR line has been sold in Europe for the past few years, but only in a 600cc version AFAIK.

It's not known yet whether the US will get this model.  Across the board we are seeing 2011 being the year of the naked resurgence, with the F800R, FZ8, new Speed Triple, and the 1200 Dorsoduro coming ashore.  Will Suzuki get in on this new wave, or keep the GSR to the European market?  We shall see.  The GSR750 certainly has more sex appeal than the more feminine Gladius.

That was one of the better videos I've seen lately discussing all of the features of the motorcycle.

Looks tiny, just like the Z750 was.  Very Euro...

Thumbsup  I like it.  If it has @ 100 hp or so and weighs around 450 lbs, it'd say it's a winner!  abs??

Looks like an interesting naked package.  The swingarm looks cheap, cheap, cheap tho.

Very interesting.
Definitely more appealing than the Gladius.
Any idea what the power band is like?

Well, just a guess, but it is an in-line 4 cylinder from the GSXR 750 bike, but re(de)tuned for more torque lower in the rev range.  I'm guessing abut 100 hp, but as with a smaller in-line 4, you'll get a some top-end hit after you wind it up.  I think it'd be more fun to find a used Suz gsxr 750, take some of the plastic off, put a nice bucket headlamp up front, and an lsl handle bar kit and street fighter it.  That way you get decent suspension/brakes too.

Sounds like a good idea, Mike.  MO is confirming that this is not going to be a US model.

I for one think this would be a FANTASTIC model to have here, and perhaps the bike too.
