Still commuting here. low to mid 40's on the way home so far. I'll keep at it 'till it starts getting close to freezing at night.

My new Scorpion Commander jacket helps a lot, very draft proof!  Bigok
Much much better than my old Transition jacket, which I took out the armor to wear over my pressure suit for dirt-biking/DSing

I feel your pain.  Luckily I'm picking up parts tomorrow.  If I'm feeling brave I might even try to put the Ninja back together myself after Miles goes to bed.

Good luck to you with fixing the bike Maggie.  You can do it if you take your time, use an analytical thinking process, and don't worry about left over parts.  Lol

Nice.  Anything significant about the 3985 other than the fact it's still in service?

Not many Mallets in the midwest (two separate sets of drivers that can pivot independently) . . . . .these things were pretty impressive.

Didn't notice it was a Mallet until you mentioned it.  Why aren't there many in the midwest?  I'd guess they were mainly used for the tighter turns found in the mountainous regions?
Can't be many anywhere anymore.  I'd love to get a ride on one.
