The bad ones wear plastic baseball caps -- with earflaps.

And listen to talk radio.

And have a compass on the dashboard.

The compass has replaced St Christopher from the days of steel dashboards...

I voted for inattentive drivers.  I struggled between that and road rage as both have tried to take me out.

I think it might also be interesting to rank three or four things. For instance, I'm also very wary of road conditions and of animals. Most of the other items on the list don't concern me very much.

Alen abduction scares me.  May not ever have or will happen, but I don't want to be part of it.

As to being on the road, other drivers, moms on cell phones, cops high on jelly donuts, blue haired little old people who can't see over the dash
OH YA a latter in the road

C'mon, Dred's a pretty nice guy... I'm relatively sure he wouldn't abduct you.

Animals.

I read traffic very well, I'm generally pretty good about space and cushions and safety margins, blah, blah, blah... If another driver fucks up and I'm involved, nah... that's my fault. I shouldn't have been where someone else can affect me.

But big critters... yeah, huge unknown x-factor, there.

Yep -this.

I'm with Chris on the traffic reading. I'm generally rarely surprised by bonehead maneuvers, but I am always deathly afraid of being rear-ended while sitting at a light or stop sign. Hard to get a good read on traffic behind you through two crappy little mirrors

friend of mine was rear ended on his brand new Rocket 3 last summer. Didn't do the car any good at all.

Voted for road conditions.  I expect and do not fear inattentive drivers. If I feared them I wouldn't ride.  I do fear bad road conditions - like a new pile of gravel on a turn I normally take a bit aggressively...that scares me. Animals too, but personally I find myself worried about road conditions much more often than animals.

The police.  When I'm really riding hard, I make sure I'm far away from traffic.

I'm going with ICE. That is the scareist $hit I've ever hit on two wheels in the public streets. I refuse to ride after it drops below freezing.
