Just got an 09 Sportster 883.. less than 700 miles for $5000. Need to make a few changes to make it fit. Have a Mustang seat, and forward controls on order.

Anyone in the North Florida area have newer stock pipes they would like to trade for slash cuts. My 09 came with slash cuts and I would prefer quieter stock.

$5000 sounds like a steal for such a recent model.  Congrats and enjoy.   Cool

1. Outstanding deal. About three years ago, my friend sold his '01 Sportster for about the same as you bought yours for... but his had 38,000 miles. You get the smart shopper award for the week.

2. You might even turn a little profit on the slash cuts:  "I'll sell you my slash cuts for $100 and even take your stock pipes off your hands." Wink

3. How did you get a Mustang seat to fit? Does Ford use the same size bolts as Harley? Does it recline?

Nice find. Time to tear into that motor and "open her up a little bit"  Thumbsup

Nice find/steal!  There's always room for a sporty in the stable.

I can't remember what it is but I thought HD did something at the same time they rubber mounted the 883 so you can't just swap in the 1200 jugs and pistons.
