I hope people aren't getting sick of these. There's lot's to explore.

Going down to the Snake River from Boise, ID

Looking SW, upriver, toward Grandview, ID

This is the coolest little canyon and very remote

So, does anyone in the PNW want to do a dual sport overnighter thing somewhere central to us all?

I, for one, am getting sick of your pictures. I'm going to move in to your backyard and see this stuff for myself instead.  Lol

Those pics are spectacular.

Definite possibility!  Depends on timing and location this being an IBR year and all.

Heck yeah. It's my plan to spend my weekends on the KLR in the woods and deserts of the PNW this summer, honing my camping skillz  Bigsmile

Maybe we could rig up a "Meet" where DSer's ride in from wherever to camp at one location and then ride around for a day, riding home on the 3rd day. Like the WCRM but with dirt instead of curves... Shrug

Cool. I'm diggin the whole dual sport thing. It's just a kick. It's not sport touring but I do plenty of that too.

OK, lets be thinking of some "DS places" in the PNW then and as we get closer we'll start organizing. I or someone can start a thread in Dirt Lovers or Region 1 to gauge interest if needed.

IMO, putting that husky to good use would be attempting to climb all of those sheer faces.  repeatedly

i don't mean the straight up and down ones, but are you've gotta take into some more challenging stuff than we see on the pictures.  The 610's gotta be at least almost as good as my CRF 150 in the rough stuff

I actually don't enjoy technical stuff and prefer to spend my time exploring new country and taking photos. I'll do technical stuff if I come across it but I don't seek it out if that makes sense.
