Looks pretty capable off-road, ABS notwithstanding. Dude says he actually is glad you can't turn the ABS off as it works so well.

looks like big fun, though I'll admit the linked brakes and non-defeatable ABs seem a bit strange in this segment.
I'd LOVE to take on for a protracted test run -- say, 2/3 months.

Great video, thanks. Looks like it will be a real winner. There is also a favorable review of it in the new Cycle World.

For us normal riders, I like the technical TCS and ABS this bike brings to the market. It still seems too heavy and way to easily to damage (if dropped) for the off road riding. But, it looks like they were having a good time with it on this test video. I also love parallel twins and would like to hear that big twin uncorked.

In the recent CW article, they mentioned you can defeat the linked brakes by simply hitting the rear brake first. I thought that sounded pretty clever.

That makes sense for gravel road riding.

Looks like a really neat bike. I was jones'n for the Multistrada, but all the Duc's electronic gadgets (and the price and serviceability) has me spooked.

I was all prepared to dismiss this bike however it looks like a winner. There are quite a few who have hoped for a return of the Transalp. Perhaps this will fill the gap.

Highly unlikely as Honda guys will always pine for Hondas.

Honda hasn't had any bikes for us Honda guys to pine for.

I sat on one at the IMS Sunday. The ergonomics were really comfortable. The seat is poor (they always are). Could be a great LD / Rally bike. rep claimed 600W alternator. Windscreen is smallish, and there isn't much room for mounting GPS, etc.
Very tempted to cheat on my FJR with one.
