I like it a lot more than the Daivel, even though it has the Diavel exhaust.  Standard ABS and traction control, but no Ohlins.

What's MSRP going to be on it?

+1. This is more my style than the Diavel. I like the naked view of the engine and frame.

From the Ducati website, it looks like this model replaces the previous Monster 1100/S.  In other words, you now get ABS and TC on the large Monsters whether you like it or not.  And no Ohlins options.

Maybe Dave R can answer - does this new model have the 15k valve intervals of the MTS1200?  The "Maintenance" link on the Ducati M1100evo page takes you to the revised maintenance schedule info for the MTS12.

Price wise it "should" come in at the same MSRP as the 2010 standard model $11995
Pretty darn sure intervals on valve inspection are still 7500 like the current Hyper 1100evo motor..  I will confirm in an hour or so.

No more S model as I agree it was too close in price to the Fighter..     We do have one red and one white S model left!!  Still with dry clutch, Ohlins front and rear, Marchesini wheels AND a healthy Ducati in store credit!!

Could not agree more. Nice to have so many options, though..

Still would like to know about intervals....I really, really, REALLY want them to have 15k intervals on all models, so that I can buy another Ducati.

Love the new look (if you can call going back to a low mount exhaust "new")  I always thought the Monster 1100 looked just a wee bit wrong.  Never could put my finger on it, it just wasn't right.  Enter 2011 with the lateral exhaust and it's got it right!  Now if I could just get the same style exhaust on the 796.
