Fantastic weather. played hooky for a long lunch and went out for a 2.5 hour ride.  We are certainly getting spoiled in New England!

 Banana

Dan asked me to take his BMW off of our "winter storage" insurance rate and put it back on the road. Looks like a shake-down ride is in order this weekend Burnout

What's with this wacko weather.  It's tropical one day, and turns arctic-like when I want to go for a ride.

The weather/temp was mild just long enough to goad me into buying a new bike and get it broken-in enough to do the first oil change. Now I gotta wait like another two weeks or so to get out for a ride without freezing my nuts off?! Snow and ice means I can't even suck it up and brave the cold if I wanted to. I guess it's finally time to get cracking on the winter mods, and getting the old bikes ready for sale in the spring.

Strange day today. We've got a ton of spotty sputtery weather cells rolling through the area.

I was having a coffee at my usual stop this AM, when I looked towards the valley mountainside about 1/2 mile away, I could see
a band of thick precip coming down the mountainside almost like a heavy fog.

The temperature dropped IMMEDIATELY probably 15 degrees and this thing hit Duryea with a blustery, cold heavy rain, then it started snowing and
sleeting
like a bitch. Coming down really hard for a few minutes, I was almost prepared to head somewhere to wait it out, but just as suddenly
as it came on, it stopped.

Spring.  Thumbsup

So despite the temps cooling off today (thank goodness!), I can easily say that on my daily commute, I saw more motorcycles the first two days of this week than I have for the last two years I've lived here. Where on earth did they all come from? And not just the usual cruiser crowd/squids 'R us bikes, either. I saw a KLR, a couple of BMW1200s, some larger touring bikes, a goldwing... just about every two-wheeled demographic was represented this week. Some of them even had gear on Thumbsup

Buncha' them were out day before yesterday. Pirates and squids got the warm weather fever.

Not one bike out today.

Monday I was sweating in my Motorport mesh, today a bit chilly in my Roadcrafter and a t-shirt. Bizarre. It shot up to 87° on Monday up here.
