Ohlins started it. Gold forks=quality boingers. But now everything's gold. So Ohlins is switching to pink.

They look OK on some bikes.  Good on a few and ugly on a few.

It's awesome that THIS is what we worry about.

Think about that... people give a shit that the forks are one color over another.

If that doesn't prove that the industry, as a whole, is building seriously good shit, then nothing is.  Thumbsup

I should mention, that even though I hate gold forks, it wouldn't stop me from buying a bike that has them.
But really, all things being equal, what sick twisted freak would choose gold?

I've also wondered about this. And yes Chris, it is a good sign.   Wink

Funny that you picked the FZ1 as your example ... there is something about the bike's particular shade of gold that looks cheap to me. I do have the feeling that Ohlins is the real thing and deserves the gold - all others are poseurs.   Razz

PS... the gold works better in that pic.

The contrast is good and it stands out nicely.

Went here on a recommendation. I have to say that it was quite expensive and the serves that they provide are quite small. Definitely not one of the best Thai restaurants around by any stretch of the imagination.

I like the look of gold forks.  Black looks good on some bikes too.

Doesn't matter what color the forks are so long as they work. The Gold colored forks tend to be of the more high tech inverted variety anyhow...

Shit - y'all are worried about Gold coloured forks -

I have a GL-1200 LTD - the whole bike is gold - and the p.o. had the lower portions of the forks chromed.

I'm replacing those with non-chromed ones.
